Master Plan Open House
A Master Plan is a big-picture, long-range document that guides policy and decision-making about how land in the Township is used for housing, transportation, commerce, and more. As part of the update process, the Planning Commission worked with the Township’s planning consultants, Giffels Webster, to understand existing conditions (demographics, economics, and how our land is currently used) and explored trends and projections of how the Township’s population and marketplace may change over the next 10-20 years. Along with several points of public input, the goals and objectives of previous planning documents were reviewed to see if they are still in alignment with the collective vision for the future, and appropriate land-use strategies that support current and future residents and businesses were identified. The draft Master Plan includes land use policy recommendations that will guide future development and action strategies to achieve those recommendations.
In addition to the Open House, a Public Hearing will be held on the Master Plan later this year.
