The Orion Township Fire Department provides car seat inspections and installations free of charge.
These inspections are done by appointment only.

CPR Classes
All CPR classes are currently postponed due to COVID-19
The Fire Department offers CPR/AED training to those who wish to be certified. All classes require enrollment and payment prior to attending. All classes are held at Fire Station 2 located at 3801 Giddings Rd. Lake Orion, MI 48359.
A minimum of five participants is required for the class. If this minimum is not met, your class may be rescheduled for a later date or a refund will be issued.
AHA Heartsaver CPR/AED Training - $40 per person
- Approximately 3-4 hours
- Held at 5pm on the third Wednesday of every month
AHA CPR/AED/FIRST AID Training - $50 per person
- Approximately 6-7 hours
- Held at 10am on the third Saturday of every other month
- Approximately 3-4 hours
- Held at 10am on the third Saturday of every other month
License Renewal - $20 per person
According to the American Heart Association, only about 40% of people who experience cardiac arrests receive CPR from a trained person.

Address Markers
Many times, address markers are dfficult to see in low light, or are too small to see from the street. Reflective address markers allow first responders to quickly identify addresses during and emergency. Address markers are $15 dollars and are payable by cash or check, paymen

Station Tours/Event Requests
Participating in community outreach programs is as important to the Orion Township Fire Department as responding to a 911 call for help. If you are interested in scheduling a station tour or event, please fill out the Event Request Form listed under "Applications, Forms and Documents" and send the completed form to the Fire Department.
Please review the following before submitting your request:
- Events must be scheduled a minimum of 3 weeks before the event but no more than 45 days
- Station Tours have a maximum of 25 participants (adults included) and Show and Tell events have a maximum time of 2 hours.
- Birthday Parties are not eligible for request for either station tours or show and tell events
- All OTFD fire apparatus, stations and personnel remain in service 24 hours a day and can be dispatched before or during an event. In such a case, fire crews are unable to notify the event organizer of any delays or cancellations while responding to an emergency.

Roper Lock Boxes
The Orion Township Fire Department offers Roper Lock Boxes for your home. In the event of an emergency, the Fire Department must make entry. Without a lock box, the only option is to force open a door or window which can cause costly damage. These boxes will allow access to your home and is a great aid for those who are elderly or suffering from medical problems.

- Lock Boxes are a one time fee of $30.00
- No installation is required from you
- The box is hung over the front door without the use of any screws, nuts or bolts
