Corridor Improvement Authority

The Orion Township Board of Trustees established the Corridor Improvement Authority (CIA) on October 5, 2015 pursuant to Act 280, Public Acts of Michigan 2005, for the purpose of implementing public improvements within the defined boundaries of the Authority.   The Board consists of the Township Supervisor and six additional members appointed by the Supervisor and approved by the Township Board.

The objectives of the CIA include the widening of Brown Road between Joslyn Road and Baldwin Road, streetscape development along the Baldwin Road Corridor, and other enhancements in the District that will attract investment and increase employment in Orion Township.

Meetings
Meetings are held quarterly in the Baldwin Room at the Municipal Complex.  The 2024 meeting schedule is March 13 (cancelled), May 8, August 14, and November 13.  All meetings begin at 5:00 p.m.  Meeting materials, including agenda and minutes, and other documents and resources are provided in the below drop-down list.
