Mini Masters- Preschool (3-5 yrs)

Come join us as we create literature-themed projects exploring the processes behind watercolor resist, painted paper, tissue paper, and batik! Children will gain confidence in working with various mediums and key technical skills, such as: identifying elements of art, color theory, sequencing, and vocabulary to explain the art making process. Each day will include: story time, art making and a snack. Artists should come dressed in mess-appropriate attire for each day! Pre-registration is required. A non-refundable $10 material fee is due on the first day. Mini Masters-Preschool is geared toward children 3-5 years old and is a parent drop-off event.

Mini Masters- K-2nd Grade (5-7 yrs)

Students are invited to a jam-packed week of art fun! Please join us as we study famous artists and their works, explore a broad range of mediums, and create 10 frame-worthy masterpieces. Along the way, we'll wander through Rousseau's jungles, attend a Kandinsky concert, and create Thiebaud-inspired confections. Students can expect to experiment with : papier-mache, painted paper, sun printing, kites, printmaking, and self-portraits. Artists should come dressed in mess-appropriate attire and plan to bring a small snack each day. The week will culminate with a collaborative art show by the students on Friday, the 14th at 12pm. Pre-registration is required. A non-refundable $25 material fee is due on the first day.

Mini Masters- 3rd-6th Grade (8-12 yrs)

Mini Masters- 3rd-6th grade students are invited to a jam packed week of art fun! This week some of our stops include Matisse's kitchen table as we re-create a still life, a stroll through Van Gogh's sunflower field, and a fire engine collage inspired by Charles Demuth. We'll learn about printmaking, papier-mache, wet felting, storytelling through weaving, and watercolor techniques. Each student will create 10 frame-worthy masterpieces. Artists should come dressed in mess-appropriate attire and plan to bring a small snack for each day! Junior Golf Camp

All aspects of the game are covered and the instruction is kept simple, fun and relaxed with games and contests. Camps begin with the basic fundamentals of the golf grip, stance, posture, aim alignment and moves through the swing plane and motion. Youngsters will be taught lessons in fairness, perseverance, self-control and self-esteem that will help them long after they have left the instruction tee. Camp includes; camp shirt, lunch, on-course instruction, practice balls, range use, essential gift bag, certificate reduced green fees all season, use of equipment (if needed), games, prizes and awards!

British Soccer Camp

Don't miss this great opportunity for your child to learn from the best and get a head start on the competition! Each camper will go through the British Soccer program of individual foot skill development, technical and tactical practices, small-sided games and coached scrimmages. Each of our coaches holds a national coaching license from Great Britain and is specifically trained for the British Soccer camp program. Host a coach and receive a voucher for British Soccer merchandise, uniforms or a partial refund toward the cost of academy. Register on-line at www.challengersports.com. ONTV Kids Video Camp

Join the crew at Orion Neighborhood Television at this week long camp. Campers will learn all aspects of video production including how to write, act, and direct a TV show. Kids will also learn the technical aspects of a studio production and are given hands on training and opportunities to crew the shows they produce. All shows produced during the camp will be aired on ONTV. Each participant will receive a t-shirt and a DVD of all the TV shows they helped produce. Call 248.693.3377 for additional information. Horseback Riding Camp

Give your child a summer they will never forget with two hours daily of riding, bathing, grooming, feeding as well as fun crafts and games on and off horseback at Times Square Riding Academy. Campers need to bring a sack lunch each day. lessons are for beginner riders and are in the English Saddle Style of riding. Riders will require long pants and hard sole shoes with 1 inch heal. Space is limited, register early.
